Liza Schillo is Senior Manager of Global Product Sustainability for Levi Strauss & Co. She has been with the company for four years, directing the company’s climate change and sustainable product strategies. In 2018, Liza led the company to adopt new climate change targets for LS&Co. and its supply chain. Their corporate commitment to a 90% internal reduction and 40% supply chain reduction in carbon emissions is industry-leading and has been officially approved by the rigorous Science-Based Targets Initiative. In addition to climate work, Liza is actively engaged in keeping LS&Co. on track to achieving 100% sustainably sourced cotton for its products by end of 2020. This corporate commitment to sustainable cotton is part of a broader internal initiative to move LS&Co. toward a more sustainable and circular product strategy. Prior to LS&Co., Liza worked in environmental management and policy in Washington, DC. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When Liza is not at work, she is very happily on her mountain bike.
